Rick’s Place

About The Park

Rick’s Place is a 50-acre interactive greenspace 5.5 miles from Ft. Liberty. We are  free for service members and their family. Rick’s Place is the first of what we hope will be many interactive retreat centers around the US near military bases where service members experience numerous deployment cycles and seek to reintegrate after deployments.

Rick’s Place is open daily, dawn-to-dusk (please check the hours based on the season of year) for families to come out and enjoy nature.  There are special events throughout the year that are reserved for those registered per event.

Any group with more than 20 individuals are required to submit a park reservation form 30 days out from their arrival. This helps everyone have the best experience here on the property!

The Rick Herrema Foundation (RHF) strengthens relationships and builds community for The Military Family through fun, quality activities.

Who Can Use The Park

We serve the Military Family Community!

The Military Family is comprised of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and their families, as well as Department of Defense civilians and contractors impacted by wartime stressors. The Military Family is the sphere of relationships the service member calls “home.”

All people who come to our park must agree to abide by our rules, check-in each time you arrive and fill out a waiver each year!

If you or a minor child in your care need accommodation for known needs, please let RHF staff know prior to arrival park so that a success plan can be discussed.

All programs and events require a completed registration to attend an RHF event. Military ID (DOD | DD214) is required at check in at all events and programs.
